In June, Troop 370 attended Central Florida Council’s Camp La-No-Che in Paisley, FL. Several merit badges were earned, but the highlight was the muddy hike to Big Stump.

Scout Day at the Races is an event sponsored by the Foresters at USA Speedway in Lakeland, FL. The scouts enjoyed the racing and had a chance to work on the Auto Mechanics Merit Badge.

Good Turn for American is a community service project that focuses on three areas: Health, Food and Shelter. Troop 370 decided to assist Citrus County Habitat for Humanity by laying sod at Habitat Houses.

Instead of camping, every December Troop 370 holds a “Day of Community Service” by helping the Citrus County Family Resource Center with it’s annual toy drive. We wrap gifts and help load and unload cars.

In April, Withlacoochee District held a camporee at McGregor Smith Scout Reservation. McGregor Smith Scout Reservation was owned by South Florida Council and this would be the last event held there for three years.
